We’re excited to share that ReNew has hit some incredible milestones in its mission to support disadvantaged young people. Since 2019, ReNew has employed over 100 young individuals, for the majority it is their first job. On average, our Youth Employees spend around 8 months with ReNew as we work together to break down barriers, helping them transition into further education, employment, or training. Since opening our doors in 2019, ReNew has paid over $1 million in wages to our Youth Employees, all generated through our trade-based services.
Recently, the team spent a day upskilling at the workshop. After kicking off with a barbecue breakfast, the crew got hands-on with heavy machinery and, by the end of the day, became accredited in operating a mobile chipper and mulcher. This new skillset not only extends ReNew’s services into tree removal but also enhances our employees' skills bank, providing even greater value to our clients.
A big congratulations to several of our young people for reaching some significant milestones of their own:
Taylor recently secured a full-time position in a field she’s passionate about—working with animals at a veterinary clinic.
James, a history enthusiast, has been volunteering at the WA Museum between shifts at ReNew. The museum was so impressed, they asked him to apply for a full-time role.
Monty and Tim have both successfully completed their Certificate II and III in horticulture at TAFE.
Riley overcame a nervous start in his first job at ReNew, quickly progressing to full-time hours. His dedication caught the attention of Kardan Construction, where he’s been working full-time since June—and is proud to be driving his own company car.
We’re incredibly proud of their hard work and achievements!
